 We are growing in terms of both revenue and employees, and we are offering an excellent opportunity for a Sales Manager professional to join our Southern Europe Team.

What will you do?

As Sales Director, you are for the overall coordination, the functional management and leadership of all of the sales activities of the region.

You establish both the annual and the quarterly sales objectives/plans in coordination with the business plan.

Your main responsibility is to see to that all sales efforts are working in the right direction and that all targets set are achieved. In order to act proactively towards the market and the team you are expected to do the sales forecasting and analyze the sales figures on a monthly basis as well being responsible for pipeline management.

You supervise, mentor, coach, motivate and develop your team members to succeed in their objectives.

As part of the regional management team you are of leading the direction of the region both within the functional responsibility and as a role model.

This role is an international role and travel within the region and to Axis’ HQ in Sweden will be considered a natural part of the job.

The role is expected to take decisions in complex sales situations and to solve conflicts in line with our core values.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Plan and execute the sales strategy for Small, Medium and Enterprise business
  • Work closely together with sales managers, setting and follow up KPI’s on a monthly basis
  • Support your team in any necessary highlevel strategical presentations, client meetings or any internal issue involving either new business generation or current account management
  • Set and deploy with the local sales Managers the Sales strategy across the entire Axis' solutions and services portfolio, from video products and software solutions, to access control and audio products
  • Manage project pipeline and handle project pricing within set guidelines
  • Analyze monthly reports sales activities and accurate forecasts on sales, service performance and other initiatives. Identify gaps and set action plans together with the NSM
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of trade shows, exhibitions and other marketing activities.
  • Responsible for the development of employees within the sales function and in particular of your direct reports, securing a process of annual reviews, identifying areas of development for individuals and closing gaps, is in place
  • Represent the region, sharing ideas and best practice; manage cross-border sales in a professional way
  • Ensure communication and cooperation with other parts of Axis sales organization as well as with other functions within the company.
  • Coordinating cross border initiatives and ensuring that Axis guidelines are followed.

 You will report to the Southern Europe Regional Director. 

 The position can be based in one of our main offices in the Region: Milan, Paris or Madrid.

  • Capability to dare: The right candidate should have a natural tendency to get out of the comfort zone and should be action driven to find solutions to improve the business. To embrace change and explore new ways of doing things.
  • Strategic thinking: You can build effective business plans, you possess strong analytical skills, helicopter view or 360° view. You are able to Influence other functions and develop a collaborative approach

Apart from this you have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area
  • At least 10 years of experience in management is a must have
  • Proven experience in developing and leading a team is mandatory
  • Fluent in Microsoft applications
  • Fluent in English
  • International experience is a plus
  • Experience in managing remote staff is a plus
  • Experience in IT/Technology industry would be a plus
