Distribution Account Manager

 

Axis is looking for the right person to fill an opening in our Sales department as a Distribution Account Manager.  Ideal candidates should reside in either Chicago, IL or Chelmsford, MA areas.

What You’ll Do Here…

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the assigned AXIS customer network.
  • Drive the recruitment of VAR/Integrators into the Axis Solution Partner program.
  • Continually promote and educate distributors and their customers to benefit the use of IP Video and Axis cameras.
  • Lead product training for distributors and Axis Solution Partners on Axis products and basic product features/functionality.
  • Conduct daily conference calls with customers to educate and recommend optimal solutions and adequate product comparisons.
  • Maximize face-to-face time with customer Sales Teams and office visits, conduct product demonstrations, presentations, lunch-and-learns, and speaking seminars; as well as provide overall sales support.
  • Work with the management team to develop strategic direction for the assigned customer(s).
  • Negotiate and implement marketing plans with effective ROI measurements.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape of the network video market and communicate findings to the sales and management team.
  • Participate in educational events and consistently be aware of industry news.
  • Maintain fluid and proactive relations with the AXIS Business Area Directors, the Sales Team and their VIP customers.
  • Partner with established valuable strategic companies in the network video industry.
  • Maintain a physical presence at trade shows, partner summits and sales training seminars.
  • Perform other related duties when assigned

What We Are Looking For …

  • Strategic sales planning and execution.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Technical product knowledge.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Significant customer service and relationship management skills.

What You’ll Need …

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related industry.
  • Successful contract negotiation experience.
  • One year minimum in Information Technology and/or Security Sales market.
  • 1+ years of experience with distribution channels and models.
  • Experience with CDW and/or Connection a plus.

  • Occasionally required to lift 20-50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb and stand on ladders or lifts for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to work with heights.  Ceilings, ladders, rooftops, etc.
  • Travel 50-75%
