We are now looking for an Environmental Engineer to join our Quality and Environment team within the Axis´s Operations department.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Environmental Engineer at Axis you will play an important role in our efforts to be the industry leader in sustainability. The role is organized in the Quality & Environment function within the Operations department, but the interfaces stretches across the whole company and also externally to suppliers and authorities. Today the environmental team consists of three wonderful persons and we are now looking for another great colleague. The main tasks are:

• Drive activities to increase our knowledge about how our products and solutions affect the environment.
• Support product development and maintenance projects with environmental expertise.
• Cooperate with R&D and Product Management to set improvement goals and strategies.
• Collect material compliance information from suppliers.
• Educate the organisation in environmental matters.
• Support the sales and marketing organisations with information on environmental performance.
• Perform supplier evaluations from sustainability perspective.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You are a self-motivated person who sets and achieves tough personal goals. If you have work experience from environmental management within a development or manufacturing company it is considered a merit. It is of great value if you have work experience from performing LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) on products. Furthermore we believe you have:

• University degree within Environmental Management, Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar
• Excellent people skills and ability to collaborate across organizational borders
• Excellent communication skills

Axis is a global organization and since this is a centralized position you will work in an international setting with contacts all over the world. The position may require 20 days of international travelling per year.

THE QUALITY & ENVIRONMENT TEAM
The Quality & Environment team is responsible for ensuring that Axis and our supply chain can deliver high quality products in a responsible and efficient way. This requires close cooperation with several stakeholders within the company. It also includes working closely with our component suppliers and contract manufacturers around the world to ensure they have control of their processes and that they constantly improve.
