WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In this position you will be responsible for a FW development team consisting of approx. 12 direct reports.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Live and guard Axis values (e.g. openness, helpfulness, professionality)
• Run the day-to-day operations making sure that your staff in the product development projects executes under the best possible conditions for efficient deliveries
• Participate in project and product roadmap activities together with project managers, product manager, management team and technology teams.
• Continuously develop needed skills in the organization to increase the competitiveness in quality, tools, new technology & innovation, time to market.
• Taking care of your staff (work environment, performance and development, salary setting etc.)
• Recruitment of engineers
• Budgeting and follow-up

You will report to the director of Fixed Dome Cameras.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As a person you are sociable and appreciate cooperation with others. You are curious, pragmatic, prestigeless and have a drive to try new ideas. We see that you have a great interest in products and technology, you understand embedded FW and have an interest in understanding and solving customer needs. You also like working cross borders both internally and externally with partners, around solutions, use cases and analytics. Your pedagogic skills are good and you are also good at inspiring and energizing others.

In addition to above we see that you have:

• At least a Bachelor degree or similar in a relevant area for FW product development such as Computer Science, Programming, ..
• At least 5 years experience in the field of product development
• Previous experience as line manager with staff responsibility is preferred.

THE FIXED DOME CAMERA DEPARTMENT
We develop and industrialize a particular type of network cameras called “fixed dome” products for the video surveillance market. This is a large and growing product area within Axis. We are about 90 persons, divided in five teams, Project Management Mechanics, Imaging, Firmware 1, Firmware 2 and Electronics. The department interacts with external EMS manufacturing sites and many other parts in Axis such as Technologies, Quality Assurance, Software Platforms, Solutions and Operations to mention a few.
